Sauce-Stains

Pre-treat the Stains

For the best results, treat the stain as soon as possible. The more quickly you treat a stain, the less likely it is to set. You can either use a spoon or a knife to gently scoop the sauce from the fabric. This will prevent it from spreading to other parts of the cloth. You can also use a paper towel to wipe off the sauce. Make sure you dab gently without spreading it.

Wash with Cold Water

Once the excess sauce has been removed. Run cold water as quickly as possible over the stained area. Make sure you don’t use hot water, because hot water can make removing the stain even more difficult.

Stain Remover

Apply a stain remover of your personal choice (spray or liquid) and allow it to sit for at least 15 minutes before washing. It is best to apply the stain remover on both sides of the fabric to ensure the stained area is fully covered. After that wash the garment in cold water and check to see if the stain is still there.
If you don’t have a stain remover at home, then you can try these DIY home remedies as an alternative to the remover.

1. Dish Detergent, Warm Water & Vinegar

This remedy consists of ingredients that can be easily found in our houses. This method requires a dish detergent, vinegar, and warm water. The reason for adding dish detergent is that they work great on oily stains. First, fill the tub with warm water and then add a teaspoon of the detergent and a tablespoon of vinegar into it. Soak the fabric in the solution for 30 minutes and rinse the fabric with water as usual.

2. Salt and Baking Soda

Salt and baking soda are two most common kitchen items but are one of the best agents for removing stains. This is one of the simplest methods where all you need is salt, baking soda, and water.

Simply mix in a plate equal parts of salt and baking soda, and add a little water to form a paste. Gently rub the paste over the stained area and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. After that wash the cloth with your regular detergent.
